ROBERT WESTOVER
Hamilton West and Trenton Central – Sprinter
Westover was born in Bordentown and ran the 100 and 220 Yards for Hamilton High School before transferring to Trenton Central for his junior and senior years. At TCHS he became a quarter miler. He won the 1943 Group 4 State Championship at 50.8 seconds in the 440.
Westover was also part of teams at TCHS which won 2 South Jersey Championships and 2 Big-6 Conference titles in the spring of 1942 & ’43. He won a conference gold medal for the 440 in the 1943 season.
Westover served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and then attended Princeton University where he was a member of the track and field team. He graduated in the Princeton Class of ’50.
