First Team

Zui Chinchalkar (Senior, WW-P North). Chinchalkar capped off an illustrious high school XC career by running an overall 5K PR of 18:14 for 2nd at CVC divisionals, a Thompson Park PR of 18:55 for 5th at Central Group 3 sectionals, and a 19:04 at Holmdel for her best-ever finish of 13th at the Meet of Champions.

Eowyn Deess (Sophomore, Princeton). Deess had a breakout race at the CVC Championship when she ran 19:32 to get 6th. She went even lower at Thompson Park at sectionals the next week, running an incredible 19:11. She also ran 19:49 at Holmdel at the Meet of Champions.

Claire Dumont (Senior, Hopewell Valley). Dumont was already one of the top girls coming into this season, and she still managed to crush her PRs with huge races at Thompson (18:52 for 4th at sectionals) and Holmdel (19:12 for 6th at groups). She also ran 18:26 for an overall 5K PR at divisionals, and she placed 30th at the Meet of Champions.

Grace Hegedus (Sophomore, Princeton). Hegedus was a consistent leader for the Princeton girls. After opening the season with a new 5K PR of 18:28, she ran a Holmdel PR of 19:27 and a huge Thompson Park PR of 18:49. She placed 10th at groups and 26th at the Meet of Champions.

Kajol Karra (Junior, Princeton). Entering this season, Karra had reportedly never broken 20:00. By the end of the season, she had run 18:38 at Thompson Park and 19:03 at Holmdel! That last result earned her an impressive and well-deserved 12th place at the Meet of Champions.

Allison Lee (Junior, WW-P North). Lee was definitely the MVP this year, having had one of the best seasons ever for a Mercer County girl. She obliterated the course records at Robbinsville (17:28) and Thompson Park (17:46), ran a huge Holmdel PR of 18:24, and finished 3rd at the Meet of Champions!

Teagan Walker (Senior, Ewing). Walker made sure the last year of her impressive high school XC career was a great one. She set big PRs at Thompson (19:40 for 9th at sectionals) and Holmdel (20:12 for 19th at groups), and she qualified for her first Meet of Champions.

Second Team

Florica Eleches-Lipsitz (Senior, Princeton). Eleches-Lipsitz, the only senior on Princeton’s all-star team, had her best races of the season at sectionals (19:48 for 16th) and groups (20:17 for 26th) to help lead Princeton to their first-ever group championship.

Maddie LaChance (Junior, Hopewell Valley). LaChance had a big breakout race at sectionals, where she placed 14th in a 35-second Thompson Park PR of 20:03. Then she ran even better at the group championship, running 20:10 to get 18th! That was a 75-second Homdel PR and a big reason why Hopewell Valley earned a berth in the Meet of Champions.

Izzy Meth (Sophomore, Lawrence). Meth ran 19:43 at Thompson Park to get 7th at the CVC Championships, and she also ran 19:59 on the Holmdel course at the Shore Coaches Invitational. Both of those times were top-10 among Mercer County girls this season.

Phoenix Roth (Sophomore, Princeton). Roth had a massive race at sectionals, breaking her Thompson Park PR by 45 seconds to run 19:44 and get 15th. She also stepped up for Princeton at the Meet of Champions, running a big Holmdel PR of 20:09 for 64th.

Rosemary Warren (Freshman, Princeton). Warren placed 8th at the CVC Championship in 19:52. She was particularly clutch for Princeton at the Meet of Champions, where he got 58th in 20:04, which was the 9th-fastest time by a freshman at Holmdel all season.

Emilia Wroblewski (Senior, Allentown). Wroblewski set a Holmdel PR of 19:57 at Shore Coaches and an overall 5K PR of 19:16 at the CVC Divisional Championship. She missed the CVC Championship but returned to still qualify for her first Meet of Champions, where she finished 66th.

Sydney Young (Sophomore, Hopewell Valley). Young didn’t race in September or October, but she sure hit the ground running in November: 13th at sectionals in 20:02, 11th at groups in 19:47, and 46th at the Meet of Champions in 19:56. She had the seventh-fastest Holmdel time among Mercer County girls this season.

Honorable Mention

Yana Chheda (Sophomore, WW-P South). Chheda had a very sucessful debut XC season, taking 6th in the CVC Colonial Division, 19th at the CVC Championships, and 24th at sectionals. She set a Thompson Park PR of 20:42.

Juliette Halpin (Freshman, WW-P North). After running two-mile races during the regular season, Halpin made a very successful transition to the 5K, running 20:22 to place 10th in the CVC Colonial Division race. She ran even better at sectionals, placing 22nd in 20:34 at Thompson Park.

Sevanne Knoch (Freshman, Princeton). Knoch was 10th place at the CVC Championship in 20:07. She also ran very well at the Meet of Champions, setting a Holmdel PR of 20:33.

Siena Rivera (Freshman, Hightstown). Rivera opened her season by getting either 1st or 2nd in four different freshman two-mile races. Upon moving up to the 5K, she dropped a 19:15 at the Robbinsville course for 4th place in the CVC Colonial Division and then a 20:01 for 9th place at the CVC Championship.

Madeline Ruchelman (Senior, Allentown). Ruchelman set a big Thompson Park PR of 20:52 to get 12th at Central Group 2 sectionals. She also ran 20:21 to get 7th in the CVC Valley Division.

Alaina Sabo (Freshman, Notre Dame). Alaina Sabo has the 7th-fastest 5K PR out of all NJ freshmen. She ran 19:02 twice, first at Six Flags and again at Robbinsville. And her best race still might have actually been the 19:25 she ran at Greystone to get 2nd at the NJCTC championship.

Sara Secora (Sophomore, WW-P North). Secora only ran four races this season, but she made them count! That included a 19:48 for 5th in the Colonial Division, 20:38 for 23rd at sectionals, and 20:59 for 41st at groups.
